Mac OS X Special characters

MacRoman
The so called MacRoman characterset is an extension of both US ASCII and earlier Mac OS character sets and is identical to ASCII for the first 128 characters. It resembles very much the Latin-1 character set, including many accented characters and a number of additional symbols.

The following table describes the MacRoman character set, associating the decimal and hexadecimal equivalents with descriptions of the characters.
Included are the keystrokes for all printing and a few non-printing characters used with Apple's US English keyboard layout. Not all fonts can represent all characters, while some fonts will represent alternate characters.
